PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Peeeers Mies (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cassit Heiluu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Heiluu has chosen Kerrankin Tarpeekseen as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Cassit Heiluu is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Heiluu shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Mies rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Heiluu moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Mies throws a right and a left that Heiluu avoids nicely.
Mies throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Heiluu.
Heiluu throws a body punch but Mies moves out of range.
Mies throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Mies misses with a few strikes there.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Heiluu.
Mies is trying to get back to his feet.
Mies knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Heiluu on the ground.
Mies is working to avoid the ground and pound but Heiluu connects with a decent elbow.
Mies on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Mies tries to get out of the position.

Heiluu is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Mies knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Mies bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
Heiluu shoots in looking for a takedown but Mies manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Heiluu's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Heiluu shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Heiluu showed some decent athleticism there.
Heiluu has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Heiluu thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Heiluu looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Mies with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Heiluu wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mies keeps working.
Mies might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Heiluu tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Heiluu has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Heiluu lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Mies is looking to get back to his feet here but Heiluu is keeping cool and he's managed to take Mies's back.

Mies is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Heiluu gets his way!
