Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Chuck Jardine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gomer Pyle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Jardine might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to WEED MAN. Pyle comes into a darkened arena with his song building. The Marines' Hymn kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Chuck Jardine!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Gomer Pyle!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Matti Vanhoillinen and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Jardine takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Jardine is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Pyle is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Jardine knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Jardine for a finish.

Pyle shoots in looking for a takedown but Jardine manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Pyle's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Chuck Jardine is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Pyle connects with a nice short shot to Jardine's temple.

Jardine is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Pyle has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Pyle had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Jardine defends it easily.

Pyle working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Jardine doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Jardine manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Pyle pushes a forearm under Jardine's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Jardine is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
