Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Harrison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Desmond Hume (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ryan Harrison!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Desmond Hume!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Paulo Santos and Edson Gomes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hume shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Harrison napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Harrison stops Hume from passing to mount.
Harrison can't do much from the bottom here.
Harrison stuck in half guard on the bottom here.
Hume is looking to take a break and control but Harrison is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Hume working the ground and pound but Harrison is defending the strikes.
Hume trying to control the position but Harrison is working away.

Harrison prevents Hume from improving position.

Harrison tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Hume wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Hume sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Harrison is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Hume tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Hume has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Hume throws an elbow but Harrison slips to the side and avoids it well.
Hume has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Hume tries for a kimura but Harrison is defending well.
Hume trying to control the position but Harrison is working away.
Harrison tries to improve position but can't.

Hume goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Harrison has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Hume but great work by Harrison.
Hume pushes Harrison away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Harrison gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

You can see the frustration on Hume's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Hume tries to bench press Harrison off him but Harrison keeps the position.
Hume seems a little lost for a moment, as Harrison dominates the positioning.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Desmond Hume hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

and Harrison counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Harrison.
Hume changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Harrison fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Harrison clinches up with Hume and pushes him back against the cage.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Harrison lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.


It looks like Desmond Hume has been cut.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Harrison obliges.
Harrison scores with a knee to the head.
Harrison connects with a nasty looking knee right to Hume's face.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Hume misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Hume looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Harrison is fending him off so far but Hume persists. Nope, Harrison circles away and we're back to standing.

Harrison seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression.
Hume is breathing heavily.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Desmond Hume's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
