The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Persson throws an off balance right hand
letting Muhammed counter with a right hand.

It looks like Goran Persson has been cut.
Muhammed takes one to the side of the head.
Persson swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Muhammed misses with a lunging right hand
letting Persson counter with a right hand.
Muhammed throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Muhammed rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Persson counters with a nice uppercut.

It looks like Abdi Muhammed has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Muhammed misses with a combination

and Persson counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Persson.
Muhammed tries to stall but Persson uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Persson lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Muhammed backwards.

Muhammed breaks the clinch.
Persson misses with a hook to the body
and Muhammed counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

Persson drops Muhammed with a beautiful combination! Muhammed stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Persson is looking for the KO!

Muhammed is rocked!
Muhammed drops his hands momentarily. Persson doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Muhammed staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Muhammed doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.
