Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Charles Manson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Foe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Manson comes to the cage accompanied by Indian War Song. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Charles Manson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Joe Foe!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Skip Squint and Summer Carpenter.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Manson throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Foe fails with the takedown
enabling Manson to counter with a crisp jab.


It looks like Joe Foe has been cut.
Manson moves in looking to clinch but Foe pushes him off.
Manson tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Foe was well out of range. Poor timing from Manson.

Manson bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Foe throws and elbow that misses. Manson uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Foe's guard. Nice move by Manson!

Manson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Foe has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Manson has managed to get both his arms back between Foe's legs - danger averted.
Manson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Foe on the ground.
Foe seems keen to control Manson's posture.

Foe has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Manson is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Foe.

Manson is staying active underneath Foe, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Foe is pressing down on Manson's thigh, looking to free his foot. Manson is holding on for now.

That was a close round but I would say that Charles Manson will probably get the nod.

A lazy left from Foe finds it's target.
Foe shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Manson counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Foe changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Manson tries to avoid it but Foe manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Manson to the ground. Manson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Foe's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Manson connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Foe scrambles back to his feet.

Foe fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Manson checks it well.

Foe is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Foe wants to free his trapped foot but Manson is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Foe throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Still in half guard, Foe seems content to control.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Manson is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

I would just about give that final round to Joe Foe.
