PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kaiser Diesel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Randy Lesnar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lesnar comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Oildale-Korn kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Randy Lesnar!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Cecil Peabody and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lesnar closes this distance looking for a takedown but Diesel circles away.

so Lesnar counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Lesnar seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Diesel could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Lesnar tries to score a power double leg takedown but Diesel sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Lesnar somewhat.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Lesnar accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Lesnar stands up over Diesel, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Lesnar drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Lesnar jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Randy Lesnar showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Diesel is rocked!


It looks like Kaiser Diesel has been cut.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Oooh a big shot lands for Lesnar! Diesel is out! The ref dives in to save him from more punishment!
