Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bojangles McFly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phil Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McFly's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and McFly duly obliges.
McFly keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Davis.
Davis takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Davis scores with a hook to the body. McFly takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
McFly throws a lazy uppercut
and Davis counters with an inside leg kick.
Davis throws an off balance right hand
and McFly counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Davis scores with a nice strike.
McFly swats away the attempt to clinch by Davis.
McFly keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
McFly shoots in for a takedown but Davis shows good takedown defense.
A thudding body kick lands there by Davis!
Davis dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on McFly. That did some damage!
McFly dodges the punch combination from Davis.
Davis misses with a wild combination.

Davis moves into the clinch.

Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Davis obliges.
Davis lands a knee to the body.
McFly is breathing heavily.
A left hand lands to the body for McFly.
McFly tries to throw a body punch but Davis avoids it by throwing McFly back against the cage.
McFly blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Davis tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and McFly avoids it.
McFly drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Davis gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Davis crunches a lovely knee into McFly's ribcage.
McFly wants to break free but Davis has control.
Davis blocks a punch to the side of the head.
McFly blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

McFly pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Davis moves into the clinch successfully.
This has been an exciting period of action!

McFly manages to break the clinch.

Davis works McFly's body with a nice hook.
Davis misses the shot to the body.
Nice defenses there by McFly.
McFly ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Davis moves away.
McFly walks forward, straight into a front kick from Davis.
A combination from Davis does no damage.
Davis connects with a right hand. McFly shakes it off.
McFly fails in his attempt to clinch.
Davis tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but McFly was well out of range. Poor timing from Davis.
McFly takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Davis - that will leave a mark!
McFly misses with a hook to the body
and Davis counters with a nice leg kick.
Davis lands with an uppercut that bounces McFly off the cage and back into rage.
Left hook, right uppercut from Davis.

It looks like Bojangles McFly has been cut.
McFly cracks Davis with a good jab.

Davis is looking to clinch but McFly is avoiding it.

Davis closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Still in half guard, Davis seems content to control.
Davis working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Davis landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

McFly is rocked!
Davis prevents McFly from improving his position.
Oh McFly is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Davis lands with a punch from half guard.
Davis lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Davis lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked McFly! More strikes land and this one is all over! Davis jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!
