Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sol Tavarez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ely Scott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Scott's choice of entrance music: party up. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

14 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ely Scott!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Wesley Smith and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scott is looking to score with low kicks.
Tavarez throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Scott tries to move into range but Tavarez moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Tavarez tries to land a front kick but Scott steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Tavarez tries a head kick but it misses.
Sol Tavarez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tavarez throws a shot from downtown. Scott moves away and avoids it.
Tavarez throws a chopping leg kick but Scott manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Scott throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Scott checks a leg kick.
Scott shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Tavarez as he jumps to the side.
Tavarez throws a hook to the side of Scott's head but Scott sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Tavarez jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Tavarez throws a leg kick but Scott checks it.
Tavarez fails to land with a series of punches.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Scott misses with a takedown attempt
and Tavarez cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
It looks like Ely Scott has been cut.
Scott gets tackled into the cage by Tavarez. Tavarez maintains the clinch.
A body shot lands from Tavarez.
Tavarez just leaning against Scott, taking a breather.
Tavarez keeps control of Scott as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Tavarez slows down the pace here.
Tavarez pushes Scott back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.

Scott changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Tavarez fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Sol Tavarez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ely Scott.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Tavarez throws a hook but Scott blocks it.
Tavarez throws a good cross that connects.
Tavarez tries to land a front kick but Scott steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Scott has managed to clinch.
Tavarez struggles to land a body shot inside as Scott controls his hands.
Tavarez lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Scott is trying to maintain a safe position but Tavarez gets an underhook and turns Scott into the cage.
Scott fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Tavarez is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Tavarez throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

Scott is trying to break the clinch but Tavarez has him pressed against the cage.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
Scott has had enough of the clinch but Tavarez keeps him there for the moment.
Tavarez is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Tavarez throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Scotts head.
Tavarez is struggling to control the position.

Tavarez tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Scott's elbow.
Scott wants a takedown.
Tavarez putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Scott in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.
Tavarez digs a right hand underneath Scott's ribcage. Scott let out a lung full of air as it connected.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Tavarez creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Scott with a big uppercut! Scott tries to clinch up but Tavarez pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Scott to the mat! Scott covers up and Tavarez unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
