The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Creed lands a nice shot to the body.
Rogers tries to clinch up but Creed circles away and keeps his distance.
Creed tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Rogers was well out of range. Poor timing from Creed.
Rogers is looking to clinch.
Nice uppercut there from Creed.
Rogers ducks under a wild hook from Creed.
Rogers throws a nice inside leg kick.
Creed misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Rogers.
Rogers misses with a low kick as Creed jumps back.
No luck for Rogers with that takedown attempt.
Creed uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Rogers.
Creed throws a jab when Rogers was well out of range.

Creed swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Creed ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Rogers moves away.
Rogers takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Rogers scores with a head kick. Creed tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Rogers dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Rogers avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Rogers scores with a nice right hand.

It looks like Apollo Creed has been cut.
Creed misses with a series of wild punches.
Rogers darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Rogers tries to clinch there but Creed circles away.
Creed throws a poor cross that misses
and Rogers counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Apollo Creed is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Rogers turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Some wild striking there from Rogers.
Rogers pounces like a tiger and cracks Creed with a vicious hook! Creed is down but not out! Rogers follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
