The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A solid leg kick lands there for Forlan.
The fight stays on the outside here - Aurelio looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Aurelio misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Diego Forlan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Aurelio dives in and grabs Forlan's left leg, looking for a takedown. Forlan pushes down on Aurelio's head and hops out.

Rafael Aurelio's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

Forlan decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Aurelio is looking to get back to full guard here but Forlan has managed to pass to side control instead.

Forlan is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Aurelio looks calm but he's in trouble here. Forlan gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Aurelio is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Forlan lets go of the hold and Aurelio can pop his arm back in it's socket.
