Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Maki Daebak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daiki Nakamura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Daiki Nakamura has the eye of the tiger tonight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Daiki Nakamura!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nakamura changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Daebak is pinned up against the ropes taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Daebak fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Daebak throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Daebak moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Nakamura gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Daebak counters with a thumping low kick.
Nakamura shoots in and drives through. Daebak sprawls well.
Nakamura misses with a double jab
and Daebak counters with a low kick, right behind Nakamura 's knee.
Daebak throws a low kick but it's checked well by Nakamura.

and Daebak counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Nakamura tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

and Daebak makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Nakamura really felt that one!

and Daebak counters with a good, hard body kick but Nakamura shrugs it off.

Nakamura shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Daebak napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Nakamura throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Daebak is not content to let Nakamura control the position.
Nakamura might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Daebak kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Nakamura decides to stand back up.
Daebak will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Nakamura fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Daebak avoids it really well and circles away.
Maki Daebak has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Daiki Nakamura.

Daebak feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Nakamura's calf.

Daebak throws a head kick but Nakamura moves out of range.
Daebak connects with a right hand. Nakamura shakes it off.
A bone on bone clash there as Nakamura blocks the leg kick.
Nakamura shoots for a double leg takedown but Daebak sprawls well. He's pushed Nakamura's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Maki Daebak will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Daebak can't keep his opponent in guard - Nakamura advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Nakamura wants to take a breather but Daebak is having none of it.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Nakamura in particular looking to stall.

Nakamura is working for a kimura here but Daebak manages to reverse the position and he's now in Nakamura's guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Nakamura throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Daebak avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Nakamura has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Daebak can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Nakamura is breathing heavily.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Nakamura escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Daebak gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Daiki Nakamura showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Daebak feints and then cracks Nakamura's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Nakamura down.

Nakamura swings away with a body shot that misses
and Daebak cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Daebak buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Nakamura changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Daebak tries to avoid it but Nakamura manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Daebak to the ground. Daebak escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Daebak dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Nakamura. That did some damage!

Good leg kick by Daebak there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Daiki Nakamura seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Daebak will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Nakamura shoots in for a takedown but Daebak shows good takedown defense.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Daebak throws a nice looking combination but Nakamura bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Nakamura steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Daebak. That one must have hurt.

Maki Daebak showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Daebak has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
