Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Davis Black (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Doc Morbid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Morbid has chosen Duran Duran - Wild Boys as his entrance music. Davis Black has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Morbid. No joy for Black on that attempt.
Black walks forward, straight into a front kick from Morbid.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Morbid.
Morbid throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
letting Black counter with a right hand.

and Black counters with a nice low kick that buckles Morbid's knee momentarily.
Morbid attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Black closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Morbid did well to prevent Black getting side control.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Morbid is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

Black unloads with some shots from mount but Morbid bucks and avoids them well.
Black wants to control the pace but Morbid is squirming around nicely.
Black is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Morbid is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Morbid can do anything to dispel that myth.

That was a close round but I would say that Davis Black will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Morbid goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Black pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Morbid back to the ropes. Black follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

The fighters circling - Black throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.

and Black counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Black tries a head kick but it misses.
Morbid fails in his attempt to clinch.

Morbid throws a push kick but Black slaps the foot to one side.
Black punishes Morbid's body with a nice straight punch.
Morbid lands with a nice body kick.
Black shoots in for a double leg but Morbid sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Black throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Doc Morbid showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Black shoots in looking for a takedown. Morbid tries to sprawl out of it but Black keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Morbid manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Black lands a couple of decent looking shots.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Black stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Morbid swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Black looking to sit in guard and control but Morbid gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Black wants to sweep here but Morbid controlling him for the moment.
