The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Chris Downing and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Araujo tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Kicker closes this distance looking for a takedown but Araujo circles away.
Araujo drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Kicker is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Araujo's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Araujo perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Araujo wants to pass to mount but Kicker is defending the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Kicker is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Araujo pulls his head out easily.

Araujo looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Araujo wants to get up but he can't break Kicker's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Kicker had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Araujo is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Kicker Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Araujo's back instead.
Araujo breaks Kicker's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

Araujo is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Kicker needs to keep his hands up - Araujo had a free shot at his head there.
Araujo buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Araujo scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Araujo has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Kicker to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Araujo is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Kicker pulls down on the head and he's put Araujo to sleep! This one is all over!
