Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Carmelo Caramelo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Samsara Sovzyeski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Caramelo kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Razor. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Carmelo Caramelo!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Samsara Sovzyeski!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Aleksandr Martynov and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Caramelo tries for a takedown but Sovzyeski circles away easily
and Sovzyeski counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
It looks like Carmelo Caramelo has been cut.
Caramelo fails with the takedown
and Sovzyeski counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Caramelo drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Sovzyeski is adopting a defensive guard.
Sovzyeski bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Caramelo's guard.
Sovzyeski tries to stand but Caramelo is controlling from the bottom.
Caramelo tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Caramelo has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Sovzyeski is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Caramelo.

Caramelo is trying to improve his position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Caramelo is working hard here to advance position.
Sovzyeski controls the position from side control.
Caramelo tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Sovzyeski wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Sovzyeski decides to stand back up. Sovzyeski steps back and let's Caramelo get back to his feet.
Sovzyeski throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Sovzyeski instigates a clinch.
Caramelo goes for a takedown attempt but Sovzyeski pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Carmelo Caramelo. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Caramelo shoots and misses
and Sovzyeski counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Caramelo thinking.
Caramelo is breathing heavily.
Caramelo misses with a takedown attempt
and Sovzyeski counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Sovzyeski connects with an inside leg kick.

Sovzyeski connects with a looping right hand.
Sovzyeski lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Caramelo has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Sovzyeski finds it's way round the side to connect with Caramelo's head.
Caramelo is rocked!
Nice defenses there by Caramelo.
Sovzyeski circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Caramelo to the canvas! Caramelo doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Sovzyeski keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
