PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lychan Wolf (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricky Ricardo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Wolf might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Hollywood Undead - pimpin. Ricardo has chosen Culo as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lychan Wolf!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ricky Ricardo!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Wesley Smith and Chris Downing.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Ricardo.
Ricardo lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Ricardo.

Ricardo drives through with a takedown into guard.
Wolf is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Ricardo drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Ricardo jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Ricardo is looking to work some ground and pound but Wolf has wrist control.

Ricardo drops back looking for a leg! Wolf is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Wolf manages to kick Ricardo off! Ricardo jumps back into Wolf's guard.

Ricardo drops back, looking for a kneebar! Wolf looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Wolf looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Wolf!

The fighters are battling for position here. Ricardo manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Wolf would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Ricardo is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Wolf defends well.

Ricardo is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Ricardo has his foot on Wolf's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Wolf works his way back into a safe position though.

Ricardo throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Wolf.

Ricardo moves into range and clinches up with Wolf.
Ricardo blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Ricardo tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Wolf just stands there and leans against the cage.

Wolf is pressed up against the cage. Ricardo has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Wolf down to the mat. Wolf avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Lychan Wolf has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ricky Ricardo.
Ricardo avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Wolf blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Wolf can't find room to land a body shot as Ricardo controls the action.

Ricardo is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Wolf defends well.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Ricardo gets to his feet. Wolf looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Wolf rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Ricardo moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Ricardo connects with a body shot that sends Wolf's belly button to the back.
Wolf keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Wolf moves to clinch but Ricardo breaks away

and Ricardo moves into the clinch.

Ricardo escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Wolf swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Ricardo decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Wolf's guard.

Wolf is working an open guard so Ricardo takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Both fighters circling a little - Wolf finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Ricardo is keen to just control but Wolf is a slippery customer.
Ricardo scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Wolf tries to kick Ricardo off but Ricardo keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Ricardo is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Wolf knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ricardo on the ground.

Ricardo uses his free foot to push down on Wolf's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Wolf.

Wolf is squirming around, avoiding Ricardo's attempts to control the action.

Ricardo goes for an armbar but Wolf turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Wolf.

Ricardo moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Ricardo shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Wolf is trying to defend but Ricardo finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Well Ricardo has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
