Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Evans circles away from the clinch attempt.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Evans has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Kiriyama avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Kiriyama will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Evans up against the cage.

Evans tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Kiriyama smiles and moves away.

Evans tries to close the distance and clinch but Kiriyama swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

and Kiriyama counters with a nice double leg into side control. Evans won't be happy with that.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Kiriyama has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

That was a close round but I would say that Kazuya Kiriyama will probably get the nod.

Horrible takedown by Kiriyama or perhaps it was just good defense by Evans which made him look bad.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Kiriyama, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
