The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Higgins misses with an uppercut

and McPain counters with a shoot takedown. Higgins fights it but they end up in guard.

Higgins takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

Higgins throws a right hand that misses
and McPain makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Higgins misses with a left hand

and McPain counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by McPain.
McPain keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Higgins's efforts to push away.

McPain breaks from the clinch.
McPain scores with a head kick.
Higgins throws an ugly left hook that misses
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Higgins is breathing heavily.
Higgins takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Good leg kick by McPain there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Higgins defends well against a solid takedown attempt from McPain.

Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from McPain! Higgins is out on his feet! McPain rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Higgins is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Higgins is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
