The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thompson fails with the takedown
and Hussein counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Thompson looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Thompson gets tackled into the cage by Hussein. Hussein maintains the clinch.
Hussein keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Thompson's efforts to push away.
Thompson tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Hussein smiles and moves away.
Thompson tries to clinch
and Hussein counters with a nice double leg into side control. Thompson won't be happy with that.
Hussein decides to stand back up.
Hussein shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Thompson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hussein. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Hussein looking to pass the guard.
Hussein is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Thompson keeping moving, preventing Hussein from controlling successfully.
Thompson is working an open guard so Hussein takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Hussein darts in and clinches Thompson up against the cage.
Hussein lands a knee to the body.
Hussein tries to score a body lock takedown but Thompson shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Hussein has clasped his hands together around Thompson's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Hussein has hold of Thompson's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Thompson seems comfortable defending it but Hussein has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Thompson is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Thompson is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Hussein couldn't care less - he's delighted!
