The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dracon throws a low kick but it's checked well by Bastos.

Dracon lands a big head kick that sends Bastos tumbling to the mat! Dracon takes a step backwards and waves Bastos back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Dracon misses with a body kick.
Dracon throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Bastos connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Dracon throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Bastos on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Bastos fails with a takedown attempt.
Dracon throws the left hand but Bastos avoids the punch easily.
Dracon stuffs the takedown.
Dracon tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Bastos counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Dracon keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Dracon is looking to control Bastos's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Dracon avoid being mounted?
Bastos has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Dracon is looking for a sweep. Bastos is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
