Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kirby Navarro!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Stepan Baraban!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Ren Mimura and Shigeki Sano.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Navarro gets caught flat footed, as Baraban shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Baraban has gone for a leg lock! Navarro slips out almost immediately though and dives into Baraban's guard.

Baraban pushes Navarro off and gets back to his feet.

Baraban closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Baraban is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Navarro has escaped the position, nice work there.
Navarro wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

Baraban is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Navarro knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Baraban tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Navarro is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Baraban has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Baraban is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Navarro is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Navarro wants to get back to his feet but Baraban drags him back down.
Navarro is looking to reverse the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Baraban is trying to get an arm triangle but Navarro is defending well.

Baraban is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Navarro is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Baraban has hold of Navarro's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Navarro seems comfortable defending it but Baraban has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Navarro is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Navarro is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Baraban couldn't care less - he's delighted!
