Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Christopher Ryan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mike Tyson!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Dmitry Maklakov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ryan shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Tyson is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Ryan shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Tyson manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Tyson.

so Ryan counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Tyson seems keen to control Ryan's posture.
Ryan controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Tyson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ryan. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Ryan shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Tyson has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Ryan is working away from the top position though.

Ryan is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Tyson defends it well.
Tyson is concentrating on defense, preventing Ryan from advancing position.
Ryan thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Tyson is looking to control Ryan's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Tyson avoid being mounted?
Ryan slows the pace down in half guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Tyson might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Ryan kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Ryan shoots in and gets a takedown into Tyson's guard.

Ryan is pushing down on Tyson's leg trying to pass to half guard. Tyson is fighting to maintain full guard but Ryan has managed to sneak the leg through.
Ryan wants to lay and pray for a moment but Tyson keeps working.

Ryan is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Tyson is just riding it out for now. Ryan eventually gives up the hold.

Ryan thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Tyson throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.

and Ryan counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Ryan.
Tyson controls Ryan momentarily but Ryan frees himself.

Ryan drops back looking for a leg! Tyson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Tyson manages to kick Ryan off! Ryan jumps back into Tyson's guard.

Tyson keeping moving, preventing Ryan from controlling successfully.
Ryan is really struggling to control Tyson but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Ryan wants to control from the top but Tyson keeps moving.
Tyson controls Ryan momentarily but Ryan frees himself.
Ryan sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Tyson's guard.
Tyson is trying to control but can't.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Ryan looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Ryan seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Tyson is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
