Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dave Jackson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dexter Mercier!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mercier throws a series of punches but Jackson avoids them all with ease.
Mercier lands a jab.
Jackson looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Jackson with a lazy takedown attempt
and Mercier counters with a nice uppercut.
Mercier paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Mercier with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Jackson takes a shot to the body in his stride.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Jackson drops his hands momentarily and Mercier takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Mercier connects with a looping right hand.
Jackson shoots and misses
and Mercier counters with a nice uppercut.
Both fighters circle each other, looking for something big. Mercier moves in and throws an overhand right. That hurt Jackson! Mercier continues to tee off on Jackson, landing with a left and a right! Mercier connects with a right hand that leaves Jackson sleeping against the cage! What a finish by Mercier!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Dexter Mercier!
