Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ben Askren!
The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Valeri Chadov and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alikov scores with a head kick.
Alikov tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Askren swivels and escapes.
Askren shoots in and gets a takedown into Alikov's guard.
Alikov looking to control.
Askren stays in close to Alikov's body and controls the position.
Askren avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Askren's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Askren throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Askren postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Askren working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Alikov's head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Askren lands a couple of decent looking shots.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Alikov has momentary wrist control but Askren slips an elbow through the middle.

Askren content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Askren with a nice head shot there.
Alikov is rocked!
Askren arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Alikov's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
