The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dibiase takes a swing at Smash Ya's ribcage but misses.
Smash Ya throws out a loose jab but Dibiase uses good head movement to avoid it.

Smash Ya uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Dibiase.
Dibiase just misses with a punch to the body.
Dibiase misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Smash Ya's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Dibiase connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Smash Ya scrambles back to his feet.

and Smash Ya cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Smash Ya on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Smash Ya ducks right into an uppercut from Dibiase.
Dibiase throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Smash Ya counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Smash Ya throws an ugly left hook that misses

and Smash Ya counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Dibiase looks to score with a jab to the body but Smash Ya is just out of range.
Dibiase connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Smash Ya momentarily.
Dibiase fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Smash Ya has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Smash Ya has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Dibiase finds it's way round the side to connect with Smash Ya's head.
Smash Ya loads up on a big right hand but Dibiase slips the punch.

and Smash Ya counters with a straight right hand.

Dibiase thuds a left hand into Smash Ya's body.
Smash Ya throws a lazy uppercut
and Dibiase counters with a slapping leg kick.
Dibiase looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Dibiase moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Smash Ya steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Dibiase.
Dibiase lands with a kick to the temple. Smash Ya shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Dibiase misses with a hook. Smash Ya ducked under it nicely.
Dibiase scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Dibiase lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Smash Ya is still on wobbly legs! Can Dibiase finish him?
Dibiase scores with a jab to the body.
Smash Ya seems to have recovered his senses.
The fighters circle, before Dibiase throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Smash Ya's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Dibiase lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
