And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Peter Compton!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Taro Takaoka and Kenichi Hosakawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Watts fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Compton manages to avoid it.

Watts takes the fight into the clinch.
Compton misses with a hook to the ribs.

Watts has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Compton clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Watts is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
Watts seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Compton for as long as he can get away with.

Watts has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Compton regains guard immediately.

Watts is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Compton will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Watts throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Watts feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Watts jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Compton walks away with a smile on his face. Watts gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Compton moves out of range as Watts strikes.
Compton tries a head kick but it misses.
Compton is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Compton wants to clinch.
Compton looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Compton swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Compton tries to clinch up but Watts circles away and keeps his distance.
Watts wants to clinch.
Compton throws a body kick the misses

and Watts counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Watts content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Erris Watts.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Watts, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
