Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Patrick Kenzie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Brone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brone comes into a darkened arena with his song building. FINLANDIA by Jean Sibelius kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Patrick Kenzie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jason Brone!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Leandro Rodrigues and Edson Gomes.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brone misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Kenzie.
Brone shoots in but Kenzie avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Brone tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Kenzie counters with a stiff right hand.

It looks like Jason Brone has been cut.
Brone looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Brone throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kenzie's waist but Kenzie gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Brone off to one side.
Patrick Kenzie has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jason Brone.
Nice takedown defense from Kenzie. No joy for Brone on that attempt.
Brone shoots in for a takedown but Kenzie shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Brone lands the left hand.
Brone shoots in looking for a takedown but Kenzie manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Brone's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Kenzie with a hook.
Kenzie throws a hook to the side of Brone's head but Brone sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Kenzie stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Kenzie slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Kenzie feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Brone sprawling to the canvas! Brone rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Kenzie finish him?!

Brone is rocked!

Patrick Kenzie is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Kenzie lands with a good body shot.
Brone looks gassed!
Kenzie drops a shoulder and throws a monster hook that connects perfectly to the side of Brone's head, knocking him out cold! Kenzie is extatic as he celebrates with his cornermen.
