And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are George Francis, Daniel Franklin and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lesnar throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Velasqz counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Velasqz.
No luck for Lesnar with that takedown attempt.

It looks like Cain Velasqz has been cut.
Velasqz has closed the distance and engaged Lesnar in a clinch.
Velasqz lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
A nice right hand lands inside from Velasqz.

Lesnar is working for takedown but Velasqz is calmly controlling the position for now.
Cain Velasqz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brock Lesnar.

Lesnar has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Velasqz avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Lesnar is trying to push Velasqz away but Velasqz has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Velasqz lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Lesnar backwards.

Velasqz is pressed up against the cage. Lesnar has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Velasqz down to the mat. Velasqz avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Cain Velasqz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Lesnar takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Lesnar tries for a takedown but Velasqz sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Velasqz really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Velasqz pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Lesnar back to the cage. Velasqz follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Velasqz wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Velasqz creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Velasqz lands a left hand.
Velasqz drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Lesnar gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Still in the clinch, Velasqz scores with a nice short uppercut.
Velasqz stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Velasqz gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Velasqz with a flurry of punches that miss.
Velasqz connects with a couple of short punches.
Velasqz has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Velasqz thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Velasqz keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Lesnar's head.
Velasqz throws and elbow that misses. Lesnar uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Velasqz's guard. Nice move by Lesnar!
Lesnar loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Velasqz is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Lesnar frees his head nicely. Oh but Velasqz has switched to an armbar! Lesnar is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
