Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stinkn Landfill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeff Sundin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stinkn Landfill looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Stinkn Landfill!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jeff Sundin!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Donatello Bradman and Hugh Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Landfill gets caught flat footed, as Sundin shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Landfill is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Landfill is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Sundin dives into side control.
Sundin controls the position.

Sundin looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
You can see the frustration on Landfill's face as Sundin controls the position.
Landfill is trying to get back to his feet.
Sundin tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Landfill is trying to buck Sundin off.
Landfill is breathing heavily.

Sundin is staying tight to Landfill's torso, preventing him from escaping.

Sundin is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Landfill is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Sundin trying to control the action but Landfill is working from the bottom.
Landfill is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Sundin is controlling him well.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Landfill misses with a few strikes there.
Sundin throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Landfill doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Sundin decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Landfill's guard.
Sundin prevents Landfill from getting back to his feet.
Sundin passes Landfill's left leg - he's now in half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Landfill tries to kick Sundin off but Sundin keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sundin is trying to control the action in half guard but Landfill is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Landfill shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Sundin counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Sundin moves into full mount! Landfill won't be happy about that!
Sundin can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Landfill is looking to escape.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Landfill's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Sundin controlling the position easily from mount.
Sundin moves to the back position.

Sundin patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here?
Landfill has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke.

Sundin looking to finish the fight with a rear naked choke. Landfill is controlling Sundin 's left arm and he spins nicely into guard.
Sundin is pulling down on Landfill's head. It's preventing any offense from Landfill, at least for the moment.
Sundin is trying to control the position but Landfill postures up.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Sundin holds on and takes a little breather.
Landfill wants to stand but Sundin has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Sundin looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Sundin trying to control the position here.
Sundin wants to sweep but no luck.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Sundin pulls Landfill in to control the position.
Sundin is trying to control the position but Landfill postures up.
Landfill has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Despite being in the dominant position, Jeff Sundin just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Landfill fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Sundin.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Landfill looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Sundin misses with a kick to the body.
Sundin misses with an attempted mid kick.
Sundin misses with a takedown attempt
and Landfill counters with a good low kick that Sundin was not able to check.

Landfill shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Landfill showed some decent athleticism there.
Landfill prevents Sundin from improving his position.
Sundin is trying to control but can't.
Sundin keeping hold of Landfill's head, controlling as best he can.
Sundin gets back to full guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Sundin had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Landfill is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Sundin Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Landfill's back instead.
Jeff Sundin has got the better of the ground game so far.
Landfill has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke.

Sundin controls the position.
Landfill is trying to get back to his feet but Sundin has full control of the position and if anything, Landfill has just worked his way into a worse spot.

Sundin is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Landfill has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Sundin has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Landfill taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Sundin doesn't care though - he's delighted!
