The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bennassi changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Ledger looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Bennassi wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Ledger, who protects the arm well.
Ledger manages to get back to half guard.

Ledger looking for submissions off his back.
Ledger is looking to get back to full guard here but Bennassi has managed to pass to side control instead.
Ledger wants to hold on but Bennassi pushes him away.
Ledger really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

Bennassi goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Ledger turns into him and now he's in Bennassi's guard.
Bennassi looking to hit a scissor sweep but Ledger is one step ahead there.

Ledger stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Ledger tries a head kick but it misses.
Bennassi avoids the head kick by Ledger.

Ledger darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Bennassi wants to improve his position but Ledger is controlling well.

Ledger is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Bennassi defends it well.

Ledger is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Bennassi doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Ledger.

Ledger looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Ledger is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Bennassi is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
