Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Marcelo Rua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Barney Northrup (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rua throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Northrup closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Rua quickly recovers to half guard.
Northrup looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Rua with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Northrup is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Rua misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Northrup sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Rua defending well though.
Northrup trying to mount his opponent but Rua defends it.
Rua wants to get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Northrup lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

It looks like Marcelo Rua has been cut.
Northrup sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Rua knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Northrup on the ground.
Northrup postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Rua looks a forlorn figure.

Northrup postures up and throws a big right hand. BOOM! Right on the button! Rua is out cold - huge knockout for Northrup!
