Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Katsuya Gono (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charlie Chinatown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chinatown has chosen Cocaine in my brain - Dillinger as his entrance music. Charlie Chinatown has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Katsuya Gono!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
14 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Charlie Chinatown!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Shigeki Fujiwara and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gono swings for the body but Chinatown moves out of range.
Chinatown throws a series of punches but Gono moves out of range.
Gono connects with a crisp jab.
Chinatown throws a right hand that Gono ducks under and follows up with a left that Gono also avoids with ease.
Gono swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
letting Chinatown counter with a right hand.
Gono moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Chinatown feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Chinatown working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Gono is looking to stand up but Chinatown isn't so interested in that idea.

Charlie Chinatown has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Gono ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Gono connects with a body shot.
Gono swings for the body but Chinatown moves out of range.
Chinatown looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Gono is looking to escape.
Chinatown content to control rather than advance.

Gono is trying to get back to full guard.
Gono on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Gono tries to get out of the position.
Gono pushes Chinatown off and gets back to his feet.
Gono throws a right hand that Chinatown ducks under and follows up with a left that Chinatown also avoids with ease.
Chinatown misses with the combination.
Gono misses with a double jab
and Chinatown counters with a nice body shot.
Gono ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Chinatown moves away.
Gono walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Gono is looking to wear down Chinatown with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Gono rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Chinatown moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Gono misses the jab.
Gono ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Chinatown moves away.
Chinatown ducks right into an uppercut from Gono.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Gono throws a shot from downtown. Chinatown moves away and avoids it.
Gono throws a nice looking combination but Chinatown bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Chinatown fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Chinatown shoots in but Gono avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Gono throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Chinatown.
Gono throws a combination. Chinatown tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Gono misses with a wild combination.
Gono displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Chinatown throws out the jab.

A looping hook to the body misses from Gono. Chinatown does a little dance to reset his feet.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Chinatown with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Gono to score with a decent uppercut.
Gono digs a good hook to Chinatown's body.
Chinatown looks gassed!
Gono bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Chinatown's head backwards.
Chinatown has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Chinatown there as he acknowledges the shot.
Gono works over Chinatown's head and body with a nice combination.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Gono scores with a nice head shot.
Gono throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Gono drops Chinatown with a beautiful combination! Chinatown stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Gono is looking for the KO!
Chinatown is rocked!
Gono fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Chinatown to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Chinatown looks to clinch but Gono throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Chinatown taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Katsuya Gono!
