PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jhayson Lianza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Miroslav Matuylevski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lianza kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is eye of the tiger. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lianza tries to clinch up
and Matuylevski counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

It looks like Jhayson Lianza has been cut.

Matuylevski moves into the clinch successfully.
Lianza misses with a hook from the clinch.

Matuylevski successfully pulls guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Matuylevski is on top in guard.
Matuylevski slips nicely into half guard, despite the strikes coming from Lianza.
Lianza knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Matuylevski on the ground.
Lianza throws a sloppy strike from the bottom. He's now off balance and Matuylevski manages to pass to side control.
Lianza tries to strike but it doesn't land.

Matuylevski is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Lianza is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Lianza is trying to work for a sweep but Matuylevski has mounted him!
Lianza tries to strike from the bottom but he's left himself exposed and Matuylevski has taken his back.
I would not like to be Lianza right now.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Matuylevski keeps control of the position as Lianza tries to break free.
Matuylevski controlling the position well here. Lianza rolled but Matuylevski kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
Matuylevski is hanging on to Lianza's back as he tries to escape.

Matuylevski lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Matuylevski lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
Lianza is trying to remain composed but Matuylevski is hammering down strikes to the side of his head.
Matuylevski keeps control of the position easily here as Lianza tries to buck him off.
Lianza is really stuck here.

Matuylevski working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Lianza is doing well to defend. Matuylevski seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Lianza is forced to tap and this one is over!
