The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lombard throws a series of punches but Henderson avoids them all with ease.
Lombard misses with a few strikes there.
Bernard Lombard seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A combination from Lombard does no damage.
Lombard throws a lazy right hand but Henderson sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Henderson slips a jab from Lombard.

Henderson throws a low kick but Lombard moves out of range easily.
Henderson could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Henderson swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Lombard swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
enabling Henderson to counter with a crisp jab.
Henderson lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Lombard backs up against the cage.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Henderson tries to score with a low kick but Lombard moves his leg out of the way.

and Henderson counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Lombard moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Henderson lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

Lombard lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Henderson circles away quickly and effectively.

Dany Henderson's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Lombard stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Jeez, Dany Henderson's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
