Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Terry Cheese (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Denis Opal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Opal fails with the takedown
and Cheese counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Opal rushes Cheese and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Cheese breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Opal tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Cheese swivels and escapes.

Opal is looking to break free of the clinch but Cheese has double underhooks.
Opal keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Cheese's efforts to push away.
Opal is pressed up against the cage. Cheese has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Opal down to the mat. Opal avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

and Opal counters with a shoot takedown. Cheese fights it but they end up in guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Cheese lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Opal trying to hold on to Cheese's head to control him but Cheese postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Opal is refusing to be controlled, as Cheese sits in half guard.
Cheese stops Opal from getting back to his feet.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Opal is staying active underneath Cheese, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Terry Cheese.
Cheese throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Cheese will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

That was a close round but I would say that Terry Cheese will probably get the nod.
