Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jigoro Samura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Franks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Samura might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Limp Bizkit-Rollin . Daniel Franks has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Jigoro Samura's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Franks takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

A decent looking body kick lands there for Samura.
Samura shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Franks eats them both and turns towards Samura to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Franks has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Samura.
Samura breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Daniel Franks seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Samura wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Franks has him pressed against the cage.
Samura tries for a takedown but Franks manages to get underhooks.
Samura has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Franks clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Samura is looking for the choke from the back position but Franks is controlling his hands well.

Samura is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Samura's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
Samura trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Franks doesn't escape.
Samura has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Franks! Can he survive? No! He's out! Samura gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
