Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Szybki Bill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lawrence Fairchild (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fairchild has chosen Fought the Law as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fairchild throws a lazy head kick
and Bill counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Lawrence Fairchild seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fairchild doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Bill counters with a straight right hand.
Fairchild darts in trying to clinch
and Bill counters with a stiff right hand.
Fairchild misses with a combination
and Bill counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Fairchild moves into the clinch successfully.

Bill wants the takedown. Fairchild is fighting it off but Bill persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Fairchild's guard against the cage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Fairchild is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Bill stays in close to Fairchild's body and controls the position.
Bill slips nicely into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bill perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Bill stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Fairchild swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Bill counters with a nice uppercut.
Fairchild throws a poor cross that misses
and Bill counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Fairchild looks gassed!

Bill shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Fairchild is trying to defend but Bill finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Fairchild connecting with a few gentle strikes.
Fairchild is trying to stand back up but Bill is controlling him
Bill winds up and cracks Fairchild with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Bill lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Bill passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Fairchild!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Fairchild wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.

Bill working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Fairchild is doing well to defend. Bill seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Fairchild is forced to tap and this one is over!
