Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Thunder Lips (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rick Purcell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lips tries to score a power double leg takedown but Purcell sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Lips somewhat.
A looping hook to the body misses from Purcell. Lips does a little dance to reset his feet.
Purcell throws a poor cross that misses

and Lips counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Purcell is trying to stand up here but Lips is controlling him well.

Lips postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Purcell to stand up.
Purcell gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Lips counters with a nice double leg into side control. Purcell won't be happy with that.
Purcell is not content to let Lips control the position.

Lips tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Lips trying to control the position but Purcell is working away.
Purcell really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lips. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Purcell tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Lips wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Lips thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Lips is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Purcell is trying to escape and Lips transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Purcell is forced to tap! Nice work there by Lips! Very nice indeed!
