Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Mitsuyo Maeda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luis Rizzo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Luis Rizzo struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 136.8lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Mitsuyo Maeda has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Matheus Silva and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maeda has closed the distance and engaged Rizzo in a clinch.
Maeda working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.
It looks like Luis Rizzo has been cut.
Maeda lands a hook that snaps the head of Rizzo backwards.
A right handed body shot lands from Maeda.
Maeda lands a nice shot to the body.
Rizzo tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Maeda smiles and moves away.
Maeda stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Rizzo fails with the takedown
and Maeda counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Rizzo is rocked!

Maeda lands a brutal uppercut that launches Rizzo off his feet! Rizzo tumbles to the floor, barely conscious - the referee jumps in to save him from a beating! Wow, what an ending!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:12 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Mitsuyo Maeda!
