Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Travis Ramsey!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bittor Xavier!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Robert Douchet and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Xavier gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Ramsey counters with a straight right hand.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Xavier.
Ramsey rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Xavier counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Ramsey misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Xavier connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
A looping hook to the body misses from Xavier. Ramsey does a little dance to reset his feet.
Ramsey takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

and Xavier counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Ramsey throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Travis Ramsey has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bittor Xavier.

Xavier drops back looking for a leg! Ramsey is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Ramsey manages to kick Xavier off! Xavier jumps back into Ramsey's guard.

Xavier drops back, looking for a kneebar! Ramsey looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Ramsey looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Ramsey!

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Ramsey throws a lazy uppercut
and Xavier counters with a nice uppercut.
Xavier ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Ramsey tries to clinch but Xavier is having none of it.
Xavier just misses with a punch to the body.
Xavier has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Xavier fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ramsey manages to avoid it.

Xavier shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Xavier postures up in Ramsey's guard and throws a big left but Ramsey blocks it.

Ramsey looking to hit a scissor sweep but Xavier is one step ahead there.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Ramsey is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Xavier postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Ramsey is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Xavier, into his guard.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Ramsey rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

and Xavier counters with a single leg into guard. Ramsey didn't expect that.

Xavier throws and elbow that misses. Ramsey uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Xavier's guard. Nice move by Ramsey!

Xavier is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Ramsey defends well.

Bittor Xavier showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Ramsey swings for the body but Xavier moves out of range.

Ramsey might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Xavier wants to control but Ramsey is keeping him busy.
Ramsey is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Xavier off and has taken his back!
Bittor Xavier has got the better of the ground game so far.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Xavier is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Ramsey controlling from the back.

Ramsey wants to control the position but Xavier frees himself and scrambles - Ramsey manages to regain control in side control.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Ramsey on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Ramsey tries to get out of the position.

Xavier is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Bittor Xavier comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Xavier has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
