Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Canses gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Jones counters with a stiff right hand.

It looks like Rob Canses has been cut.
Jones throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Canses stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Jones seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Canses for as long as he can get away with.

Jones's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Marcus Jones has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Canses gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Jones to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Jones is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Canses is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Jones has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Canses is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Jones distracts Canses with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
