Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Papillion misses with a hook
and Ravenal connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Ravenal attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Papillion misses with a right hand
and Ravenal counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Papillion moves away from the strike by Ravenal.
Papillion misses with a lunging right hand
and Ravenal makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Ravenal connects with the punch.
Ravenal thumps Papillion with a low kick.
Papillion throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

and Ravenal counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Papillion walks into a stiff left hand from Ravenal.
Ravenal swings for the body but Papillion moves out of range.
Mendez Papillion seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Papillion thows a leg kick but Ravenal checks it
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Papillion bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Ravenal fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Ravenal takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Ravenal closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Papillion did well to prevent Ravenal getting side control.

Ravenal postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Papillion looks a forlorn figure.

Ravenal lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
