The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hawthorn lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Allin circles away quickly and effectively.
No joy there for Hawthorn, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Marcus Hawthorn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hawthorn throws a right hand that Allin ducks under and follows up with a left that Allin also avoids with ease.
Allin tries for a takedown but Hawthorn circles away easily
and Hawthorn cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Hawthorn turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Allin drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Hawthorn dives on top into guard.

Allin has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Hawthorn doesn't defend quickly enough and Allin has managed to lock this one up! Can Hawthorn escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Allin on a fantastic submission victory.
