The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Daniels drives through with a takedown into guard.
Jackson looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Daniels wants to control from the top but Jackson keeps moving.
Daniels tries to free his leg and advance position but Jackson is retaining full guard.
Daniels stands and throws Jackson's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Jackson gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Daniels trying to control but he's not successful this time.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Daniels tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Daniels looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Jackson wants to hold on but Daniels pushes him away.
Daniels working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Jackson turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Daniels off and cradles Jackson's limp body as Daniels celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:03 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Jack Daniels!
