Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Takeo Chonan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roberto Amongero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Amongero with a nice cross.

Oooh a lovely combination from Amongero sends Chonan down but not out. Amongero dives into side control looking to finish.

It looks like Takeo Chonan has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Chonan trying his best to control but Amongero has mounted him.

Chonan darts in and clinches Amongero up against the cage.

Chonan turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Chonan manages to end up in side control.

Chonan is trying to drag Amongero to the mat but Amongero just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Chonan has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Amongero uses from the top position.

Chonan is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Chonan is taking a breather. Amongero says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Chonan in particular looking to stall.

We're going to have a standup here because Takeo Chonan wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Amongero will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Amongero's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Chonan seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Amongero for as long as he can get away with.
