The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz misses with a series of wild punches.
Hirai lands a really nice looking cross but Diaz seems unphased.
Diaz swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Diaz throws a right hand that Hirai ducks under and follows up with a left that Hirai also avoids with ease.
Diaz slips under a jab.
Hirai throws an off balance right hand
and Diaz counters with a left to the body.
Hirai lands a nice looking body shot.
Hirai shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Diaz napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Hirai is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Diaz is trying to escape and Hirai transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Diaz is forced to tap! Nice work there by Hirai! Very nice indeed!
