Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Grover Chamberlain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Samuel Diabate (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Diabate has chosen The Dark Side Of The Moon - Pink Floyd as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Samuel Diabate has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Grover Chamberlain!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Samuel Diabate!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Columbo Gatti and David Schapiro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diabate throws a sloppy head kick and Chamberlain moves out of range easily.
Chamberlain avoids the head kick by Diabate.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Diabate shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Chamberlain pinned against the cage. Chamberlain gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Diabate fails with the takedown.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Diabate misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Diabate closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Chamberlain quickly recovers to half guard.
Diabate thows a huge punch but Chamberlain dodges it nicely.
Diabate drops an elbow to the side of Chamberlain's head.
Chamberlain wants to control but Diabate is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Diabate throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Chamberlain keeps control of the position for the meantime.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Chamberlain moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Chamberlain on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Chamberlain tries to get out of the position.

Diabate is fighting to break Chamberlain's control of his arms but Chamberlain is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Chamberlain is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Grover Chamberlain just wasn't active enough.
Diabate misses with a lunging right hand
and Chamberlain counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Diabate dives in and grabs Chamberlain's left leg, looking for a takedown. Chamberlain pushes down on Diabate's head and hops out.
Grover Chamberlain has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Samuel Diabate.

Chamberlain looks to land a combination but Diabate avoids it well.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Chamberlain lands a nice hook to Diabate's body. Diabate takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Chamberlain thows a left - swing and a miss!
Chamberlain avoids the head kick by Diabate.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Donk. Chamberlain catches Diabate right on the button with a cross.
Diabate throws a right hand that misses
and Chamberlain cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Grover Chamberlain dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

and Chamberlain counters with a crisp right hand that drops Diabate! Chamberlain lets Diabate back up to his feet, looking for a finish!


It looks like Samuel Diabate has been cut.
Chamberlain throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Diabate displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Chamberlain throws out the jab.
Diabate thows a body shot but no joy.
Diabate throws a right hand that misses
and Chamberlain cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Chamberlain enables Diabate to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Chamberlain manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Chamberlain utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Diabate must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Diabate throws and elbow that misses. Chamberlain uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Diabate's guard. Nice move by Chamberlain!

Chamberlain bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Chamberlain scores with a crisp jab that stopped Diabate in his tracks.
Chamberlain stuffs the takedown attempt from Diabate. Diabate gets slowly back to his feet.
Grover Chamberlain is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Diabate tries a head kick but it misses.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Diabate rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Chamberlain counters with a one-two to the body.
Diabate misses with an uppercut
and Chamberlain counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Diabate throws a left and a right that both miss
letting Chamberlain counter with a right hand.
Samuel Diabate seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Diabate is breathing heavily.
Chamberlain looks to land a left hand but Diabate moved out of range nicely.
Diabate is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

and Chamberlain counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Diabate shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
letting Chamberlain counter with a right hand.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Diabate throws a combination that misses
and Chamberlain counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Chamberlain lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Chamberlain sends Diabate crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Chamberlain is motioning to the referee to let Diabate up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!


Diabate is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Chamberlain ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Diabate's jaw. Diabate's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! Chamberlain does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:37 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Grover Chamberlain!
