PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Cetnik Milos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eli Gull (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Milos kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Ain't No Sunshine. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gull throws a lazy uppercut
and Milos counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Milos uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Gull.
Milos stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Milos misses the body punch
and Gull counters with a stiff right hand.
Gull throws an off balance right hand
and Milos counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Milos feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Milos controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Gull is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Gull lands with a short head shot on the inside.

Gull takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Gull shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Milos counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Gull moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Gull throws a poor cross that misses
and Milos makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

and Milos connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

and Milos counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Gull's guard now.

Milos seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Gull for as long as he can get away with.
Gull tries to roll over but Milos keeps him under control.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Gull swings away with a body shot that misses
and Milos counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Gull swings widly with a right hand
and Milos makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Milos throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Gull lands with an overhand left.
Milos throws a hook to the side of Gull's head but Gull sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

and Milos counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Milos drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Milos jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gull has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Milos is proving hard to escape from.

Gull gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Milos fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Milos displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Gull.

and Milos counters with a shoot takedown. Gull fights it but they end up in guard.
Gull is breathing heavily.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Gull is on top in guard.

Milos is looking to sinch up a triangle. Gull throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Milos's body to avoid the submission. Milos has instead reached around Gull's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Milos arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
