Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Shirou Masuda and Ren Mimura.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Laskutkov tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Grozniy paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Grozniy fails with an attempt to clinch.

Laskutkov lands a left and a right that send Grozniy crashing to the mat, dazed. Laskutkov thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Iwan Grozniy has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Laskutkov shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Grozniy pinned against the cage. Grozniy gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Grozniy feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Laskutkov has his foot on Grozniy's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Grozniy works his way back into a safe position though.

Grozniy avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Grozniy decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Grozniy wants to clinch up but Laskutkov keeps it at a distance.
Laskutkov cracks Grozniy's jaw with two stiff jabs then ducks low and throws a soul-severing right uppercut to the mouth!! Grozniy slumps to the ground with blood on his lips. The referee steps in before Laskutkov can do further damage! This one is done, son!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Viktor Laskutkov!
