Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Stephan Whitmore (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Schnell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ryan Schnell!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, John Mangel and Donatello Bradman.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Whitmore fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Schnell with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Whitmore to score with a decent uppercut.
No luck for Schnell with that takedown attempt.
Whitmore throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Schnell fails to land the takedown.
Schnell walks into a jab.
Whitmore tries to clinch but Schnell is having none of it.
Schnell tries to close the distance and clinch up but Whitmore swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Whitmore feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Schnell's calf.

and Whitmore counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Whitmore tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Schnell manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Schnell is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Whitmore is looking to control Schnell's arms but Schnell gets an underhook and turns him. Now Whitmore has his back to the cage.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Schnell just misses with a elbow thrown towards Whitmore's brow.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Whitmore creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Schnell's defenses.
