Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, TJ Hooke!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
19 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Riessig Slade!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Shigeki Fujiwara and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slade feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Hooke's calf.
Slade clinches up with Hooke and pushes him back against the cage.
Slade breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Slade throws a sloppy head kick and Hooke moves out of range easily.
Hooke looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Slade connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Slade throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Hooke counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Hooke dips to his left and cracks Slade with an uppercut!
Hooke swings widly with a right hand
and Slade counters with a good low kick that Hooke was not able to check.
Riessig Slade seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Slade has managed to clinch.
Slade pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Hooke takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Hooke on the wrong end of a nice jab.
A punch combination from Hooke misses.
Slade moves into range and clinches up with Hooke.
Slade breaks the clinch.
Hooke throws a jab but it's blocked by Slade.
A combination from Hooke does no damage.
Hooke has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Slade finds it's way round the side to connect with Hooke's head.
Hooke is breathing heavily.
Hooke throws the left hand but Slade avoids the punch easily.
Both fighters circling slowly here as the pace drops. Hopefully one of them does someth.. OOOHHHH!!!! Slade throws an absolute beast of a head kick! Hooke is done! He's out cold, twisted and contorted up against the cage! Wow!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Riessig Slade!
